Irrigation is a combination of science and sensitivity with the goal of having beautiful, evenly germinated seed beds.
Newly seeded beds must be kept moist until the seed germinates. Once the crop has evenly germinated, we cut back on irrigation, letting the plants develop a good root system. One must be careful not to lose the moisture tension in the beds to prevent stress on the plants which can lead to disease issues. We consider watering one of the most critical jobs on the farm.
